INSTRUCTIONS

PROJECT 1 - LANDING PAGE

For this project we were asked to create a landing page about our favorite things, this could be anything. Ranging from musicians, our favorite band's, products, food, etc. We started off by choosing our target audience, and then we had to choose our topic. We had to do the landing page in Photoshop or Illustrator.

I didn't think much of a topic on that day, so I started things simple. I thought about my favorite things, and eventually, I chose badminton as a start. But what about badminton, after a few moments of thinking I decided to do my favorite badminton athlete which is Lee Chong Wei. I know I was supposed to start with a few sketches, I did that and I couldn't get an idea going, so I loaded up Illustrator and played with a few designs.

So I started with searching with a few pictures of Lee Chong Wei, I thought about doing some sort of a biography about Lee Chong Wei and then I thought about the contents that I can use so first thing that came up to my mind was his personal life, achievements, and career. So I thought about the content then after a few hours of thinking this was the first design that I came up with. I looked at it a second time and I struggled to find good quality pictures of Lee Chong Wei. So I came up with another Design.

Fig 2 Second and Final Design.

Because I was having trouble finding pictures, I decided to gaussian blur the picture and made it bigger, the results looked great. So that was my design for my landing page.

FEEDBACK

Mr. Shamsul said that the design looks elegant, however, it was lacking something that would attract visitors to come back.
